Running analysis is the study of the biomechanics of a running athlete or recreational runner. Biomechanics refers to the science that concerns the internal and external forces that act upon, and affect, our bodies. There are several things that we look at when analysing your running technique:
Extrinsic Biomechanics - The physical movement that occurs between your body and the environment. Intrinsic Biomechanics - The science of internal mechanics within the body and assessment of how the integrated systems of the body work together such as bones, muscles and neural tissue. RunScribe Metrics - The metrics provided by RunScribe are very different from a normal visual assessment of running. Using NASA grade technology, RunScribe can report information which is otherwise impossible to obtain from any other form of running analysis such as calculation of ground reaction forces, pronation-excursion, pronation-velocity and many other actionable data. The most striking thing however, is that RunScribe can report how your right and left feet are working in comparison with each other.
